Megumi Nakajima

Megumi Nakajima is a Filipino-Japanese voice actress and singer who was won the grand prize of the 2007 “Victor Vocal & Voice Audition” and debuted as a voice actress and singer as Ranka Lee in the TV anime “Macross Frontier”. Under the name “Ranka Lee = Megumi Nakajima” of the same series, she released several songs including “Seikan Hikou” which attained 5th place in the Singles category and second in the Albums category of the Oricon charts.

In 2009, she released the song “Tenshi ni Naritai” under her own name and, in the same year, she won “Best Musical Performance” in the 3rd Seiyuu Awards. She continued her activities as a singer while doing voice acting and provided character voices for heroines such as Ruri Aiba in “Sacred Seven,” and Eba Yuzuki in “A Town Where You Live”, and managed to take her first main role as Megumi Aino/Cure Lovely in “HappinessCharge Precure!”

On December 1, 2016, she returned from a 3-year hiatus and released “Watashi no Sekai,” the Ending theme song for the anime “Fuuka.” In August the following year, she appeared in Animelo Summer Live for the first time in four years and, in October, she released her second single after her comeback, “Saturday Night Question,” the opening theme song for the TV anime “Net-juu no Susume.” On February 14th the following year, she released her 4th studio album “Curiosity,” and held a release tour in Zepp Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya from March. A new double tie-in single will be released on August 1st, featuring “Bitter Sweet Harmony”, the opening theme for “Sunohara-So no Kanrinin San ” and “Shiranai Kimochi”, the ending theme for second season of “Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi”.

Aside from providing the voice for Ranka Lee in “Macross Frontier,” Megumi Nakajima also voiced Megumi Aino / Cure Lovely in “HappinessCharge Precure!”, Kinugasa in “Kantai Collection – KanColle-” and Charlotte Eberfreya Drossel in “Violet Evergarden” among many others.
